any sense in life it was pointless

The Text message as Social sculpture.
In 1979 the artist Joseph Beuys wrote of his objects/actions:
"They should provoke thoughts on what sculpture
can be and how the concept of sculpting
can be extended to the invisible materials
used by everyone."
The recipe for 'everyone as an artist' goes something like this:
* a cup of Humanist sensibility
* pour in social engagement
* equal amounts of democratic ideas of art making
and democratic ideas of art viewing
* draw connections between art and nature
to promote an existential examination that ranges from
critique to celebration.

Great photos. I adore --> 31.10.09 3:05. I'd love to use it on the cover of a book of poetry, if I'm ever lucky enough to get one published, and have any say in the matter of the cover. Which is just a statement, I suppose, of how much I really do like some of your photos, and how much I identify with them. And I'd keep that title as well. I similarly titled one of my pieces 'Mon 2 Nov 2009 4:15 PM' which was just what the camera called the photo I used for it on my blog. A moment in time... passing... already gone.
